While visiting Orlando Florida on a recent work trip, we had the pleasure of dining Maggiano's Little Italy, and we couldn't of been more satisfied.
This restaurant will leave you with the feeling that you ate a home cooked meal from the kitchen of a 70 year old Italian woman's kitchen.
Everything is made fresh in house and the staff is welcoming. We ordered the fettuccine alfredo and gnocchi, as well as the mozzarella appetizer. Omg, it was amazing, so much so, I took home our left overs, which I never do. Next time you find yourself in Orlando, this place is a definitely must try. -

Read all the reviews and had a taste for some good Italian food, unfortunately we did not find it here. Mozzarella Marinara tasted like frozen cheese squares with jar bought sauce. The Eggplant was dry on top and slimy in the middle. The Lasagna tasted similar to Stouffer's frozen dishes.
Look elsewhere -

This is a great Italian restaurant. We met up with some friends here on a Friday night. We had reservations, so there was no waiting. Don't worry...reservations are not required!
Our server was friendly and took our drink order while we reviewed the menu. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan which comes on a bed of spaghetti noodles. It paired very nicely with a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. There was also a basket of bread on the table with olive oil and parmesan cheese to dip it in. For dessert, I ordered the Gigi's Butter Cake. All of the food was awesome! Everything was a decent sized portion and the flavors were tasty!
Overall, this is a great place. It's located in the Pointe Orlando, so there's a parking harage right next door. An added bonus is that Maggiano's will validate your parking! The staff are friendly, the food is good, and the menu is not too large but has something for everyone. It can be pricey if you order drinks and dessert with your meal (our bill came to around $90 for 2 of us), but you can definitely eat there for less. I would visit again! -

I'm going to give this restaurant four stars, however this is mostly because of the outstanding service and has less to do with the food.
The restaurant was in a cool Orlando shopping mall, and had an upscale Italian vibe. We were seated quickly even though the restaurant was very busy, and were brought bread and drinks immediately. Our waiter was awesome, but I was disappointed with my food.
Whenever I eat at an Italian restaurant, I almost always get fettuccine Alfredo. Tonight however, I was torn between that and another dish (I can't remember the name but it had a pesto sauce). The waiter recommended the pesto dish, which was twice the price of the fettuccini, but I listened to him and ordered it.
The food all came out quickly, and the two people I was eating with really enjoyed their meals. All of our meals, in fact, look exceptional. I've included photographs of my meal as well as theirs. My meal looked beautiful. However, upon my first bite I knew that this was not a good dish. The pesto sauce was not a sauce at all. Instead, it was a green liquid that filled the bowl. The pasta was hard and flavorless. The chicken was flavorless too. I was super disappointed. I tried the other meals at the table and they were really good.
Luckily, the waiter offered to bring me something different when he saw that I wasn't eating my meal. I took him up on this and ask for the fettuccine. It was brought out to me very quickly and they even threw in a small appetizer to compensate. However, the fettuccine was also very hard, and flavorless. The appetizer they brought along with my new meal was amazing! It was some sort of a little appetizer composed of a piece of bread, cheese, and bacon. Delicious!
I'm giving this restaurant four stars because of the really excellent service. Additionally everybody else's meals were good, and my appetizer was great. If you're looking for a good Italian meal and don't mind paying a little bit extra this is a good place to go -

Strolling around in Orlando "Pointe" we popped in at this bar for a quick cocktail and to give our tootsies a rest. We were promptly greeted by Ally and offered a ton of suggestions off the menu. We had already had dinner so we weren't interested but she brought us bread and made us a little plate of oil, vinegar and Parmesan just in case we wanted to snack on something. My blackberry whiskey sour was excellent and my man enjoyed a solid Mojito.
Honestly, the hospitality from Ally and the young man with her at the bar is really the point of this rating. They were inviting and engaging. Very genuine people and off the charts service even though we didn't require much. They didn't treat us like a waste of time, which quite frankly, happens far too often anymore. Thanks again for the outstanding attentive service! Keep up the good work.
